The NSW SES advises people in the following area(s) to MONITOR CONDITIONS for forecast heavy rainfall, Flash flooding:
- Broken Hill
- Wentworth
- Menindee
- Balranald
- Fowlers Gap
What are we expecting?
The Bureau of Meteorology advises that tropical humidity on the southeastern flank of a low in central Australia is expected to continue to increase tonight leading to the development of a broad region of rain with embedded thunderstorms. Rain rates may ease for a period during the day on Sunday, before increasing overnight into Monday with the approach of a cold front.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for the far western parts of the Lower Western and Upper Western forecast districts overnight tonight, however is becoming more likely from Sunday evening. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 40 to 60 mm are possible.

This event may change quickly. NSW SES will monitor the situation and update warnings if the situation changes.
What you need to do:
- Avoid unnecessary travel, move indoors, bring children and pets with you.
- Park your car under secure cover and away from trees, powerlines and drains.
- If safe to do so, secure or put away items, such as outdoor furniture, trampolines and roofing iron that could blow around in strong winds.
- Grab your emergency kit in case you lose power or need to leave your home.
